Alex McNab, ghostwriter and communications strategist

Alex is a writer, ghostwriter and communications strategist based in Sweden, with nearly 20 years' experience helping leaders and institutions shape ideas that stand up in public. He has worked with Prime Ministers, FTSE 100 leaders and senior executives, including advising on crisis communications during multiple national incidents, reputational crises and disasters.

Alex has nearly 20 years' experience in communications. Before setting up Ehwaz & Othala Media in 2022, he worked in the No 10 press office and in communications at the Cabinet Office, led global social media at Maersk, ran global PR and external communications at SimCorp, and was Chief Communications Officer and Head of Marketing at Handiscover. In his experience, the habits from those rooms (clarity, speed, and respect for the person whose name goes on the words) are what clients value most.

At the heart of Alex's work is writing. Clear thinking, expressed cleanly. His practice spans long-form ghostwriting, articles, speeches, strategic messaging and narrative development for leaders who need their words to travel further than a press release or a LinkedIn post. Ehwaz & Othala Media was created to house that work, focused on authority, clarity and human voice.

Alongside his client work, Alex is also an active author. In the past 12 months he has written two children's chapter books, with two more currently in development. His second book became an Amazon Best Seller, reinforcing his belief that compelling writing, whether for leaders or young readers, relies on the same fundamentals: story, rhythm and trust in the reader.
